(MANILA, 23 June 2015) – Spotify Sessions today unveils its first exclusive recording in the Philippines featuring the biggest comeback act of 2015, Hale.
The alternative rock band first hit the mainstream charts with the launch of their self-titled debut album Hale back in 2005, a year that saw them garnering nominations for Band of the Year and Best New OPM Artist. After a five-year hiatus, the band launched their comeback this year with their single ‘See You’, which was released as an exclusive pre-stream available on Spotify earlier this year.
In the first installment of Spotify Sessions in the Philippines, Hale performs ‘See You’ along with their brand new hits such as ‘One Of These Days,’ ‘You Or Nothing,’ and ‘Saint Or Sinner’. They also record their own rendition of ‘Lost Stars’ from the hit musical film Begin Again, which also marks the first time the band is releasing a cover track.
The band is looking forward to explore new ways to engage their fans as they make their comeback. Frontman Champ Lui-Pio shares, “It’s an honor to be the first OPM band to be featured in Spotify Sessions. We believe this is a great way for us to share our music not just with our fans in the Philippines, but the rest of the world.”
