Samsung Electronics has partnered with MOONTON Games to introduce an exciting new esports opportunity for student gamers in Southeast Asia. This partnership marks the launch of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Campus Series (MCS), the first-ever tournament dedicated to student gamers in countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines. The initiative, known as the Galaxy Gaming Academy Campus Series, aims to provide a competitive platform for young players to refine their skills, pursue esports careers, and showcase their talents.

With MLBB being one of the most popular games in Southeast Asia, this collaboration between Samsung and MOONTON Games holds significant promise for the region’s mobile gaming community. It offers a new pathway for students aged 18 and above to compete in a professional esports environment, elevating the next generation of players. By using Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, participants can experience cutting-edge mobile gaming technology that enhances their performance during this landmark tournament.

The Galaxy Gaming Academy Campus Series is designed not just as a tournament, but as an incubator for aspiring esports athletes. This series gives students the chance to compete in multiple national championships, with the journey culminating in a thrilling regional playoff and grand finals in Indonesia. This structure aims to offer both exposure and experience to the students, while creating an opportunity for them to transition from student gamers to professional esports players.

Samsung’s vision for this partnership is to provide young players with more than just a competitive experience. It’s about offering the tools, platform, and guidance they need to grow their careers in the world of esports. By linking students to professional gaming networks, the Galaxy Gaming Academy ensures that budding esports stars can find and follow a clear path toward professional opportunities.

Central to this groundbreaking initiative is the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, a device engineered to meet the needs of serious mobile gamers. The Galaxy S25 Ultra features Snapdragon® 8 Elite Mobile Platform, which provides seamless and smooth gameplay. With its 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, players can enjoy ultra-smooth graphics, while the Vulkan Engine ensures optimized and realistic gaming experiences.

The long-lasting battery life of the Galaxy S25 Ultra makes it ideal for extended gaming sessions, ensuring gamers stay at the top of their game throughout the tournament. Samsung also focused on performance with efficient heat dissipation technologies, including a larger vapor chamber and tailored thermal interface material (TIM), which helps the device stay cool even during intense play. These advanced features provide the perfect foundation for high-level esports performance.

Carl Nordenberg, Vice President and Regional Head of Mobile Experience at Samsung Electronics Southeast Asia and Oceania, expressed his excitement for the series: “We believe in providing the next generation of gamers with the best technology and opportunities to help them reach their full potential. Through the Galaxy Gaming Academy Campus Series, we are not only equipping students with devices that provide the best gaming experience but also creating a platform for them to develop their skills and expand their community.”

Ray Ng, Head of Ecosystem at MOONTON Games, highlighted the importance of this partnership in expanding esports opportunities. “This collaboration with Samsung marks a new milestone in expanding the reach of student-focused esports. Together, we’re strengthening grassroots esports opportunities and creating a sustainable pathway for young players to grow within the MLBB ecosystem,” Ng said.
