JBL has recently announced the release of two new portable speakers, the Flip 7 and Charge 6, both featuring the company’s AI Sound Boost technology. This new software is designed to enhance sound quality by analyzing the signal and optimizing the output. It helps to maximize the driver’s performance while reducing distortion, delivering a clearer and more powerful sound experience.

The Flip 7 builds on the success of its predecessor, the Flip 6, which was already considered one of the best portable Bluetooth speakers. The new model comes with a few notable updates. One of the changes is the addition of an interchangeable strap and carabiner, which makes it more convenient to carry and attach to your bag or gear. The control layout has also been updated, making it easier to adjust settings while on the go. Additionally, the Flip 7 features an upgraded woofer that offers more output power, which enhances the overall sound quality and gives a richer audio experience.

The Flip 7 offers solid battery performance, with up to 14 hours of use on a single charge. For those who need even more playtime, there’s a Playtime Boost feature that reduces the bass to extend the battery life by an extra two hours. The Flip 7 also supports multi-speaker output through Auracast, allowing users to connect multiple speakers for a bigger sound. Plus, it can play lossless audio via USB-C, providing clear and high-quality sound.
On the other hand, the Charge 6 comes with even more impressive features. One of the biggest upgrades is the extended battery life, with the Charge 6 offering up to 24 hours of use per charge—several hours more than the Charge 5. The updated design includes a new button layout and a detachable, reconfigurable strap for added convenience. Like the Flip 7, the Charge 6 also includes an upgraded woofer to improve audio performance, ensuring that users enjoy deep, powerful sound.

The Charge 6 also features the Playtime Boost for even more battery life and comes with a quick-charge option, allowing users to power up their speaker faster. With the ability to integrate into a larger audio system through Auracast, the Charge 6 can easily be part of a multi-speaker setup, providing a more immersive listening experience. The price of the Charge 6 is set at $200, which reflects the added value of the improved battery life and features.

Both speakers are available for preorder now, and shipments will begin on April 6. Whether you choose the Flip 7 for its portability or the Charge 6 for its extended battery and enhanced features, JBL’s new speakers promise to deliver great sound for all kinds of settings, whether you're at home, on the go, or hosting a party.
