Samsung has officially revealed its newest mid-range smartphones: the Galaxy A36 5G and Galaxy A56 5G. These devices bring advanced AI capabilities, robust hardware, and long-term software support to the A-series lineup. Designed for users seeking reliable performance, the Galaxy A36 and A56 are packed with features that cater to modern needs while keeping the price accessible.
Both the Galaxy A36 and A56 feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, providing a smooth and vibrant visual experience. The displays can achieve up to 1200 nits of peak brightness, ensuring clarity even under bright sunlight. Additionally, the phones are IP67-rated, making them resistant to dust and water, perfect for users on the go.

The Galaxy A56 is powered by Samsung's Exynos 1580 chipset, while the Galaxy A36 uses the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Mobile Platform. Both phones come with 8GB of RAM, with storage options of 128GB or 256GB. They also feature a 5,000mAh battery, supporting 45W fast charging, allowing for extended use without long charging times.
On the photography front, both phones are equipped with a 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Video HDR. The Galaxy A56 features a 12MP ultra-wide lens, while the A36 offers an 8MP ultra-wide lens. Both models include a 5MP macro camera and a 12MP front-facing camera with Video HDR for clear selfies and video calls. The A56 also includes enhanced Low Noise (LN) capabilities for better low-light selfies.
A major highlight of the Galaxy A36 and A56 is the promise of six years of Android OS and security updates, ensuring that users can rely on these devices for years. The Galaxy A56 5G costs PHP 23,990 for the 8GB/128GB version and PHP 25,990 for the 8GB/256GB variant. These smartphones will be available in physical stores starting March 17, 2025, with online availability through the Samsung E-shop beginning March 24, 2025.
