Get ready for a cinematic explosion! Puregold CinePanalo is back and bigger than ever, unveiling its 2025 lineup of filmmaking titans and rising stars at a dazzling press conference held at the Artson Events Place. Millions in production grants have been awarded, dreams are being realized, and the stage is set for a film festival that promises to ignite the Philippine cinema scene.
Eight visionary directors have each received a staggering P3,000,000, while twenty-four talented student filmmakers from prestigious universities across the nation, including the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), University of Santo Tomas (UST), University of the Philippines (UP), Far Eastern University (FEU), and more, have each been awarded P150,000 to bring their stories to life. This year’s theme, “Mga Kwentong Panalo ng Buhay” (Stories of Life's Victories), has inspired a wave of uplifting narratives, ready to captivate audiences.
Puregold’s Senior Marketing Manager, Ivy Hayagan-Piedad, expressed her excitement about the fresh batch of filmmakers. "The competition was fierce, and these directors truly stood out," she said. "We're confident they'll deliver exceptional films, and we can't wait to share them with everyone."

Meet the Directors and Their Films:
- Mes de Guzman (known for Ang Nawawala) directs Sepak Takraw, starring Enzo Osorio, Nicollo Castillo, Ruby Ruiz, and Acey Aguilar.
- JP Habac (director of I’m Drunk, I Love You) brings us Olsen’s Day featuring Khalil Ramos, Romnick Sarmenta, and Xander Nuda.
- Tara Illenberger (Dito at Doon) helms Tigkiliwi starring Ruby Ruiz (appearing in her second CinePanalo film!), Gabby Padilla, and Julian Paul Larroder.
- The dynamic duo Christian Paolo Lat & Dominic Lat take the reins of Journeyman, starring JC Santos and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.
- TM Malones directs Salum with stars Allen Dizon and Christine Mary Dimaisip.
- Jill Singson Urdaneta presents Co-Love, showcasing KD Estrada, Alexa Ilacad, Jameson Blake, and Kira Balinger.
- Baby Ruth Villarama (acclaimed documentary filmmaker of Sunday Beauty Queen) makes history with Food Delivery: Fresh from the West Philippine Sea, the first-ever documentary in the CinePanalo lineup.
- Adding to the excitement, renowned producer Catsi Catalan makes her directorial debut with Fleeting, starring Janella Salvador and RK Bagatsing.
