The M6 World Champions, ONIC Philippines (formerly Fnatic ONIC PH), officially confirmed Joy as their chosen hero to co-design with international gaming developer and publisher, MOONTON Games. The team was given the chance to work with the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) creator as part of the perks for winning the world's biggest MLBB tournament, hosted in Kuala Lumpur last December.
Paul Denver "Coach Yeb" Lintag Miranda, ONIC Esports Vice President for Esports Franchise, said: "Joy herself almost represents ONIC Philippines by her skills and color. Joy is one of K1ngkong's signature heroes and as I remember, when ONIC Philippines picked Joy, the crowd went crazy."
ONIC PH chose Joy to celebrate Cyric "K1ngkong" Perez's incredible performance at M6. His fearless plays, lightning-fast reflexes, and clutch moments inspired the concept behind its skin, which is yet to be revealed later this year.
Coach Yeb shared that Joy embodies happiness and excitement, and the team wishes to share those feelings with their community when they see the skin to be designed by the team. "Her story is a reflection of our own journey: a relentless pursuit of greatness, filled with challenges and determination. After years of growth and progress, we finally reached the pinnacle of success together," he added.
MOONTON Games will give Grant "Kelra" Pillas an opportunity to co-design chosen hero Beatrix for her #M6MVPSkin. As the M6 World Championship's Finals MVP, the "Gold Standard" has shown an outstanding performance in the M6, making him the first-ever player to win all Finals MVPs in three major MLBB tournaments: the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL), Mobile Legends: Southeast Asia Cup (MSC), and M Series.
"I feel happy and honored to co-design Beatrix. The FMVP skin that I will work on will help signify my legacy in MLBB Esports. I chose her because as a gold laner, I embody some of her attributes, like her ability to adapt and be precise when shooting the enemies," said Kelra.
MOONTON Games and ONIC Philippines are currently in talks to discuss the details of the in-game commemorative skins that are expected to launch in September 2025. More activities leading to the launch will be announced!
In 2019, Indonesia's EVOS Legends chose to provide Harith a commemorative M Champion skin. Bren Esports picked Lancelot and Blacklist International designed Estes after both Filippine teams won M2 and M3 respectively. ECHO co-designed a skin for Chou, while M5 World Champions AP Bren designed Brody for its champion skin, and Pacquito for its first-ever FMVP skin.
