LG Electronics (LG) has unveiled a groundbreaking partnership with creative visionary, multi-platinum musician, and tech entrepreneur, will.i.am, to launch a reimagined line of audio products under the banner of “XBOOM by will.i.am.” This collaboration introduces a bold transformation of the LG XBOOM brand, infusing it with an urban, culture-forward aesthetic and delivering a next-level audio experience. The new products will debut at CES 2025.

As LG XBOOM’s newly appointed “Experiential Architect,” will.i.am will play a pivotal role in reshaping the identity of the brand. Drawing from his extensive background in pop culture, music, and technology, he will provide strategic guidance on product development, design innovation, and brand marketing. By merging LG’s cutting-edge technological expertise with will.i.am’s creative insights, the partnership aims to elevate LG XBOOM’s presence in the global audio industry.

The “XBOOM by will.i.am” lineup for 2025 will include a range of Bluetooth speakers and wireless earbuds. The first product to hit the market, the XBOOM Buds, showcases the brand’s commitment to exceptional audio quality and innovative design. Each product bears the distinctive influence of will.i.am, featuring a signature sound profile that combines rich bass with balanced, warm tones. Two distinct listening modes cater to various preferences: one mode energizes with powerful bass, while the other soothes with harmonious tones. The product designs also prioritize user convenience and style, incorporating features like ergonomic ear tips, secure ear hooks, interactive lighting, and portable straps for the speakers.
“This launch signifies the integration of our wireless earbuds and Bluetooth speakers under the unified LG XBOOM brand,” said Lee Jeong-seok, head of LG Media Entertainment Solution Company’s audio business division. “Our collaboration with will.i.am is a significant step in solidifying LG XBOOM’s new identity and reaching a broader audience.”
The innovative products will also integrate with will.i.am’s RAiDiO.FYI, an AI-powered interactive audio platform. This technology revolutionizes traditional radio by offering a two-way real-time conversational experience, allowing users to immerse themselves in infotainment and personalized topic-based “STAiTiONS.” By combining RAiDiO.FYI with LG XBOOM, the partnership creates a deeper connection between users and their favorite music, talk radio, and cultural content.
