Level Up Your Fun: Who Knew Grocery Games Could Be So Addictive?

0
Anyone else out there struggle to find screen time activities that don't feel like rotting your brain? Lately, I've been on a quest for games that are actually fun and maybe even, dare I say, educational for my kiddo. Imagine my surprise when I found a goldmine of hidden gems on a website you might not expect:
mortgagecalculator.org (don't let the grown-up name scare you!).

Now, just to be clear, these are not finance games, but actually, a treasure site that has a whole secret world of free games that cover all sorts of stuff, and the best part is, They're totally free!

Cashier Challenge: From Zero to Hero (of Grocery Shopping)
One of the games that reeled me (and my kid) in was Cashier Simulator. Basically, you become a grocery store cashier, ringing up customers and keeping track of their crazy shopping sprees. It starts easy, but things get wild fast. Suddenly you're scanning mountains of bananas, calculating change on the fly, and even unlocking new groceries for your virtual store. My kid loved the challenge of keeping up with the increasing speed, while I secretly enjoyed the mini brain workout of adding things up and making change under pressure. Turns out learning about different payment methods can be kinda fun! Plus, with 160 stages, this game has enough content to keep you busy for ages – who knows, you might even become a master grocery store checkout whiz in real life!
Building a Chill Tower of Fun
For some chill vibes, Tower Construction became my go-to. This is a super simple building game where you tap the screen to place floors on a growing tower. Unlike those other stacking games that freak out if you're off by a hair, Tower Construction is super chill. Floors don't get smaller if your timing is a little off, which makes it perfect for some stress-free gaming. The cute animations and the satisfying "clunk" when you place a floor perfectly are weirdly addictive. My kiddo got a huge kick out of watching the towers reach for the sky, and there's a certain satisfaction in mastering the rhythm of the game.

The Fun Goes On!
These are just a couple of the awesome games I found on mortgagecalculator.org. They have a whole section dedicated to games, with stuff for all ages and interests. Lego fans can build and race vehicles in Lego City Adventures, and if you're into The Amazing World of Gumball, they have a tidy-up game that's both fun and teaches good habits.
So next time you're looking for some screen time entertainment that's actually kind of educational, head over to mortgagecalculator.org and check out their game section. You might be surprised at the hidden gems you find (and hey, maybe you'll even learn a little something about grown-up stuff like mortgages along the way!).
