The inaugural Billboard Philippines Women in Music Awards was a resounding success, recognizing the immense contributions of women in shaping the Filipino music industry. From legendary singers to rising stars, the night was filled with powerful performances, heartfelt speeches, and a strong message of empowerment.
Celebrating Legacy and Achievements
The ceremony honored icons like Pilita Corrales (award received by her daughter Jackie Lou Blanco) and Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, recognizing their decades-long impact. Regine Velasquez-Alcasid was presented the "Powerhouse" award by her husband Ogie Alcasid, who dedicated the award to her son, showcasing the importance of family beyond her career.

Hitmakers, Rulebreakers, and Rising Stars
Moira dela Torre, presented the "Hitmaker" award by her best friend Mimiyuuuh, paid tribute to the women who paved the way for her success. Ena Mori, the "Rulebreaker" awardee, championed artistic freedom and self-expression. 
The rising P-Pop group BINI, receiving the "Rising Star" award from SB19's Stell, vowed to bring Filipino music to the global stage.
Inspiring the Next Generation
Sarah Geronimo, the first-ever "Woman of the Year," received the award from her husband Matteo Guidicelli. Geronimo, recently recognized by Billboard US, highlighted the importance of staying true to oneself. 
Belle Mariano, winner of the fan-voted "Listeners' Choice" award, expressed her desire to inspire young girls through music.
Sisterhood and Collaboration
The night wasn't just about individual achievements. Presenters and acceptance speeches emphasized collaboration and support among women in the industry. Morissette, the "People's Choice" awardee, shared the recognition with her fellow nominees. BINI acknowledged the entire P-Pop movement, while Geronimo thanked the women who inspired her.
