After 3 years of virtual listening, Wanderland is finally back with its festivities and gathered all music lovers at Filinvest Alabang!
Where we celebrate good music from local and international artists across different music genres, as well as various art installations, food stalls, and other attractions. All thanks to Globe for being the festival’s official presenter and GCash for co-presenting.
Gates were open around 3:00 in the afternoon and although it was scorching hot, people were ready to party in their most colorful and stunning festival outfits. As we enter the grounds, we are welcomed by loud music, dancing people, and smiling faces which lift our moods and energies. Everyone’s really in the mood for some fun.
As we roam around, booths are open and offering food and refreshments from different well-known brands across the metro, fun games, and merchandise. Our eyes were so full and we wanted to try everything! At the Globe booth, you can get your face painted and bedazzled and of course, we had to get those. We also had our cocktails and refreshments at the booth while we enjoyed the first few acts of the night. Staying there while the sun sets made our experience a hundred times better since everyone was so nice and made sure that we were all enjoying the day.
Indeed, Globe and Gcash made our whole weekend by bringing out the best artists both local and international! Led by Phoenix and Carly Rae Jepsen. Supporting acts include FKJ, Rico Blanco, Dashboard Confessional, Raveena, Sunset Rollercoaster, and more.
We are immersed in seeing all these beautiful artists and watching them perform live. Although we only attended the second day, we were still hyped by the Wanderland fever. HYBS, a Thai duo caught my attention with their type of music – I had to add all their song to my playlist after! Rico Blanco made the whole crowd scream and throw our hands in the air by performing his famous OG songs. FKJ, my favorite act of the night, surprised us as he performed with (((O))), who also performed on the first day. And of course, the highly anticipated band to end the Wanderful night, Phoenix who fmade the whole night iconic.
Overall, Wanderland's comeback is something that many people (including me) are looking forward to. It offers the chance for Filipinos to reconnect, share amazing music, and become fully immersed in art and culture. So, see you at the next Wanderland festival?
