If you're in the market for a smartphone that is beautifully designed and can give a powerful performance, look no further, for the Huawei nova 8i is here and available in the market now.
nova is a brand that's always been anticipated by followers of the brand because it always offers the best features in a smartphone in its segment. The smartphone is affordable, with Huawei taking aim at the younger, hip tech user with high expectations on their devices.
Here are the 3 reasons why I love the Huawei nova 8i.
1. Design
Style matters. Breaking the traditional square or rectangle-shaped housing of the cameras, the Huawei nova 8i stands out with the circular design at the back. It's sleek, stylish, and has an ultra-slim body. It's actually thinner than the HUAWEI nova 7i.
The nova 8i was launched in 3 color variants, Moonlight Silver, Interstellar Blue, and Starry Black. The finish on the black is glossy, so expect to have marks and some smudges as you use it but good thing it also comes with a clear protective case.
Part of the design and delicate detail that adds to the stylishness of the Huawei nova 8i is the rear Camer which we will talk about in a bit. On the side, you will also find the fingerprint power key (side-mounted) that supports Huawei's second-generation fingerprint sensor technology which is fast based on my experience.
2. Quad CameraNot only is the Huawei nova 8i is designed nicely, but it also delivers amazing camera capabilities through its 64MP quad camera enhanced with intelligent features. This device is actually perfect for those who love creating content on their social media accounts.
64MP Main Camers, an 8MP Ultra-Wide Angle camera and a 2MP Depth Camera and a 2MP Macro Camera. Here are some photos I took during my usage.
The 64MP Main Camera is fitted with a remarkable 1/1.17-inch sensor which is capable to get more light intake than a small-sized sensor, which is capable to get more light intake than a small-sized sensor. A larger sensor helps you capture crystal-clear photos with details. Under High-Res mode, you’ll get the direct output of high-res (9216 x 6912) photos which are not achieved by software. Even you can also print them out into posters with a size of up to 3.2m x 2.4m.
The 120° Ultra-Wide Angle Camera helps you easily include more content in one shot. Want to highlight your friends against the background? The Depth Camera works in with the Main Camera to blur the background and highlight the subjects for you, even it is against a messy background.
3. DisplayThe Huawei nova 8i has immersive and vibrant display. It has a 6.67 inch Huawei Edgeless Display and has an incredible narrow bezel and has a 94.7% screen-to-body ratio. Giving users an incredible viewing experience where it is watching movies or playing games. What's also nice about the display is that it offers more advanced level of eye protection. The Huawei nova 8i filters out the harmful blue light while minimizing yellow discoloration on the screen.
4. Fast Charging - Super ChargeThe Huawei nova 8i supports fast charging technology of 66W Huawei SuperCharge. In just less than an hour, you can full charge your phone. Just make sure you use the adaptor and charger that comes with the unit.
The Huawei nova 8i has a built-in 4300 mAh giving you enough battery to last you the whole day. It also has power-saving AI algorithms which optimizes battery management.
The HUAWEI nova 8i brings along a bunch of features and improvements. One of my favorite apps to use is the MeeTime feature which allows you to make high-quality video calls between Huawei smartphones and tablets.
There are also other features like the multi-tasking window which allows you to operate multiple apps on the smartphone screen to boost productivity. You can also open a third app on a floating window.
