Luxury Jewelry Brand Misaki Monaco now in the Philippines

What started as a fairytale romance, birthed something that is known & loved in the Jewelry & accessories category in over 40 countries in the span of around 30 years.

Three decades ago when French photographer met a beautiful Japanese illustrator, a match in heaven was made for the two lovers who came from the opposite sides of the world. Fond of giving presents to each other, but the very first gift she received was the one that's most special - a necklace of Akoya cultured pearl. This was the inspiration that made the two to create a brand of pearl jewelry, and the rest they say is history.

"Misaki" translates to beautiful flower, a fitting name of a line of jewelry that captures love and elegance. Initially, they frequently traveled to France and back to Japan where they sold the pearl jewelry in airports and through various airlines. Now, Misaki Monaco has become one of the most exciting jewelry brands in the world.

Founded in 1987 and headquartered in the Principality of Monaco, Misaki Monaco started as a travel retail brand initially distributed in airlines and airports. In 2014, Misaki became part of the Alteal Group portfolio which modernized the brand's image with a new artistic direction. That is why when you look at the designs of Misaki Monaco, it is not boring, stale or too old. The designs are more innovative and are a more creative interpretation of the classic pearl jewelry.

In Asia, the first worldwide flagship store opened in Beijing in 2017. Since then, it has spread its timeless and chic spirit across the region with store in countries like Singapore, Malaysia, and now the Philippines Which recently opened its first store at the Shangri-la Plaza in Manila, offering Filipinos sophisticated and contemporary pearl jewelry options.

Misaki Monaco mastered the art of turning the pearl - both cultured and crafter glass pearl beads - into collections with bold contemporary designs. Carrying two lines, Jewellery, and Fashion Jewellery. The Misaki Jewellery is for the cultured pearls with precious materials and the Fashion Jewellery for the handmade glass pearl beads. The collections are from rings and earrings to bracelets, necklaces and pendants, and watches.

Recently, they also launched a new collection for Spring-Summer 2019 which draws its inspirations from a jazz classic song, "Dream a little Dream of me." which reminiscent of dreams, romance, love and passion, this new collection reveals jewels that are both bright and contrasted.

Most of the pearls Misaki Monaco uses came from Japan, which has been known as the best when it comes to Akoya pearl production. Japan is widely regarded as the country which produces the best, most consistently beautiful Akoya pearls.
