I got an invite from Johnson's for their #Dadventures Camp launch and Riley was invited! It was a first time for Riley to be attending an event for kids and I don't think that it would be the last one. The event is about empowering moms to fearlessly say "pwede" to #Dadventures or playtime with dad.
My wife usually tells me to go lightly when i rough play Riley and I would understand why but Riley seems to love it so we sometimes play rough when mama is not around. But that is what Johnsons's is trying to tell the mother's who are too concerned, that with the help of Johnson's Milk+Rice and Johnson's Mile+Oats, moms can now say "Pwede' to what the brand lovingly refers to these activities as #Dadventures. These are special moments of bonding with a father-figure that contribute to a toddler's happy, healthy development.

There has been a lot of local and international studies that highly encourage rough play because it plays a vital role in a child's physical, social and cognitive development shares Camp Counselor' Professor Perlita De Leon, an expert in Developmental Psychology from UP Diliman. She also shared that 40% if dads are told "NO" by their partners when they start engaging their toddler in rough play. According to Professor De Leon, exposure to new environments and the opportunity for play not only aids in the formation of friendships, it also boosts self-confidence. Games such as crawl racing and kiddie wrestling strengthen the muscles and aid in the development of fine and gross motor skills.
The #Dadventures Camp yesterday in Dusit Thani Manila had just that. They had a wonderful setup and areas where the kids and their father can bond. Beautiful teepees and a picnic areas where guests can get to know more about the #Dadventures and ofcourse how the parents can keep the little one's skin strong and healthy at all times, making them ready for rough play.
The skin is the first layer of defense against environmental irritants. Young skin - even up to age 7 is still developing shares Dr. Loverna Arcilla Suratos, MD FPDS emphasizing the importance of toddlers to have strong and healthy skin. A child's skin is 30% thinner than an adult skin therefore still weak and prone to irritation, scrapes and scratches. By keeping the little one's skin nourished, you can help it become more elastic and more resilient to scrapes and scratches said Dr. Suratos.
It is recommended for parents to resits the temptation to switch to family bar soap that can further weaken skin and to continue the use of mild liquid washes and lotions that contains powerful nourishing ingredients. Oats for example, contains avenamethrides, a natural-occuring compound that has properties that protect against skin irritation. Products that contain mile and rice are often fortifies with vitamins that help keep skin not just soft and smooth, but, more importantly, strong, healthy, and ready for #dadventures.
Ria Gatmaitan Senior Brand Manager of Johnson's revealed that Johnson's Milk range contains the recommended ingredients like the Milk Proteins from European cows, colloidal Oats and Rice Extracts found in each formula. The Johnson's Mile+Rice is fortifies with 200% more skind vitamins and Johnson's Milk+Oats locks in moisture up to 24 hours so that skin feels strong and healthy after just one use.
After the short talk, they introduced the celebrity family, Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantest and Zia. Marian Rivera shares that the has been using the brand ever since and she is now using it on Zia because it has been tried-and-tested. Dingdong Dantes and Zia were the first pair who tried the various #Dadventure Camp activities before the rest of the guests followed. "Pagod but its very worth it. I truly support #Dadventures, for I know it will make Zia more sociable and bonded with me, just like how my dad and I were," Shared Dingdong. Marian also shared "Sa totoo lang, I'm the stricter parent and hindi talaga ako masyado pumapayag sa rough play noon. But knowing Zia's skin is protected with Johnson's, pwedeng-pwede na talaga mag #Dadventures and mag-ama ko. Dati kala ko mild lang or nakaka-ganda lang ang Johnson's Milk, 'yon pala nakakapagpatibay din siya ng skin."
