Attended this really cool event in Makati where everyone was happy and not wearing any shoes. Weird? Not really. The place had colorful and fun vibe, people from the outside might be wondering what is up.
“Shoes off, Happy Socks on!”
The event was the launch of Happy Socks Philippines entitle #100Happy Acts. Originally from Sweden and was founded by friends Viktor Tell and Mikael Söderlindh in 2008. Happy Sock PH is managed by partners Katherine Sy and Diana Ong sharing their love for colorful socks and now to everyone in the Philippines.
The afternoon was filled with delectable food, good music and great company. Present during the launch was Happy Socks International Representative in Asia, Jonathan Larsson, who came all the way from the Swedish Head Quarters. He shared the humble beginnings of Happy Socks and how the brand grew to reach over 70 countries in a span of just five years.
By the end of the program, host Justin Quirino asked everyone to help spread happiness by getting a box each from the Happiness Wall which is filled with 100 boxes of Happy Socks. Each containing 3 items from Happy Socks (either a pair of socks of different sizes, or underwear). One item they could keep for themselves and the other two they must give to a loved ones along with doing a random act of kindness. Now that's something worth thinking about and doing.
