TOMS Philippines has launched their Spring/Summer 2015 collection earlier today at Your Local in Legaspi Village, Makati City. Medias, guests and celebrities got a peak at the latest collection coming out this March featuring a dynamic mix of bold and laid back designs for everyone who likes to have fun and those who has the upcoming season's adventurous spirit.
For those who may not know, TOMS was actually born from a man's vision back in 2006 to provide and help children by giving them a decent pair of shoes. How you ask? Well TOMS works on a model, "One for One", meaning TOMS would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need. Pretty simple right? Well with that small idea, now it turned into a global movement.
Check out their Spring/Summer 2015 collection.
The feel of this year's Spring/Summer 2015 collection is Haiti. Picture an island country, full of natural beauty, vibrant culture and globally influential art. You can see from the wonderful pairs the breezy sandals, stylish sneakers and dressy silhouettes for men and women.
This time, TOMS expanded their offerings with more variety of casual and fashion forward styles not just for women, but for men and children as well.
The Spring/Summer 2015 collection is colourful, artistic and rich in detail. Each piece is guaranteed to make a statement.
Aside from shoes, TOMS realized that the One for One model could also serve other global needs. So in 2011, the American Traveller and founder developed the TOMS Eyewear. No it doesn't give out eyewear to those in need but they give out something better. They help restore sight to a person in need with every purchase of sunglasses and optical frames.
Just last year, TOMS launched the TOMS Roasting Co. with the mission to provide jobs and clean water to developing countries with the purchase of premium coffee.
Now how's that for a brand vision and mission? Indeed TOMS has helped a lot with their projects. To date, TOMS has given over 25 million new pairs of shoes, restored the sight of about 275,000 people and provided over 67,000 weeks of safe water worldwide. Such an amazing amazing advocacy.
Hosted by Sarah Meier, she shares to the guests how the TOMS brand started and how TOMS was able to help thousands of children achieve their goals just by providing them with a new pair of TOMS shoes.
Check out her shoes. Not that I'm into ladies shoes, but those are TOMS. Amazing right?
During the event, Sarah Meier also introduced Victoria Herrera who shared her journey with TOMS. She shared hot grateful she was and what it meant to her to give back and help the less fortunate.

During the event, Sarah also introduced TOM's latest give, the TOMS Bag Collection. Inspired by the handcrafted bags that TOMS employees bring to the office from the Giving trips in Latin America, South Asia and Africa, they went on into producing bags with rich materials, hand-beading, hand-woven embroidery and functional beauty.
The GIVE part here is that with every bad you purchase, TOMS will help provide a safe birth for a mother and baby in need.
TOMS is the kind of brand that you'd love to support. Knowing that their philosophy is to be able to help and give back to the community. A giving business with a purpose. Gotta love TOMS. I am now your supporter for the cause.
