Starbucks Reserve Philippines Grand Launch

Starbucks Philippines officially launched Starbucks Reserve yesterday at their newest Starbucks Reserve Store in Signa Designer Residences.  First thing I noticed in the new Starbucks Reserve store is the high ceiling. Just look at that.

Industrial ceiling and decors matched with beautiful wooden plates inside the store combined with some steel and modern lighting fixtures also adds a good vibe to the place.

Yesterday, they also launched their newest Starbucks Coffee Reserve Peru Chonti and Malawi. Both are rare and extremely limited coffees, each hand‐picked for their distinctive flavors and unusual locales around the world.

STARBUCKS RESERVE® MALAWI PEABERRY SABLE FARMS

Third single‐origin offering from Malawi, a country with one of the smallest coffee yields in East Africa, embodies hand‐selected peaberries from three lush parcels of land cultivated by Sable Farms. Peaberries are singular, round beans (less than 10% of a total harvest) formed naturally when one of the two seeds within the coffee cherry fails to develop. And our coffee experts love them. Dense and uniform in size, they roast more evenly and are delightful in your cup – delivering deep, concentrated flavors.

STARBUCKS RESERVE® PERU CHONTI

Cradled in a languid, steep‐walled valley in northern Peru, the small farms of Aladino Delgado and Wilder Garcia collaborate to produce this exquisitely layered coffee – with flavors that captivated us from the first sip. Delgado, a past supplier of Starbucks Reserve® is also a mentor to other farmers, generously sharing his art with a new generation. Starbucks is proud to support his efforts and delighted to offer Peru Chonti – the culmination of true passion and dedication.

These exceptional coffee Reserve beans that are incredibly exotic, rare and exquisite needs a proper brewing method. That's what makes the Starbucks Reserve store in Signa Designer Residences special. They have here their first Clover Brewing System.

With Starbucks' passion, expertise and experience in coffee, the new Starbucks Reserve store in Signa Designer Residences, uses the world's finest preparation methods. Now using the Clover Brewing System. The idea of this is that the coffee maker uses innovative Vacuum‐Press™ technology to create the perfect cup right in front of you. The stainless steel filter lowers into the brew chamber and then hot water is added at a precise temperature to brew your coffee for an ideal length of time.

The Clover Brewing System controls brew time and temperature digitally. A thermal blanket surrounds the brew chamber to keep water within 1 degree Fahrenheit of the ideal temperature. After the coffee brews, it is pulled through a 70‐micron filter. The resulting grounds are pushed out of the top of the machine. The coffee masters shares that tasting coffee in this machine brings out all the flavors and aroma of the coffee beans, even the subtle ones.

The Starbucks Reserve stores still has the traditional French coffee press and pour over also deliver the flavor nuances and unique characteristics of each Starbucks Reserve coffee.

Starbucks continues to offer customers special opportunities to experience the most sophisticated coffees the world has to offer with their Starbucks Reserve ‐ exotic, rare and exquisite. Theseultra-premium coffees are exclusively available at the Starbucks Reserve stores.

The program started, hosted by Kareena of Starbucks Marketing. She introduced Noey from Rustans Coffee Corporation who welcomed everyone to the newest store that they have.

They called on one of their Coffee Masters to explain the process they do on the Clover Brewing System. (See Clover process on top of this post) They gave away samples and of the two new blends.

Keith from Starbucks Philippines, thanked everyone who came and hoped that everyone enjoyed their newest Reserve Coffees. Kareena shared to guests that the Coffee Reserve stores also has some food items that compliments with the coffee reserves which will only be available in their Starbucks Reserve Stores.
