Twelve Cupcakes Now in Manila

Singapore's award winning cupcakes has arrived on the shores of Manila. Twelve Cupcakes known for their freshly baked cupcakes which are handmade from scratch every day staying true to their brand promise. 

The brand was founded in July 2011 by Singaporean celebrity couple Jaime Teo , former Miss Singapore Universe (2001) and Daniel Ong, TV personality for 10 years. Jaime's passion in baking ended up selling over 3 million cupcakes in Singapore alone, its growth has grown rapidly with a total of 34 outlets (and counting) in Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

Good friends from Twelve Cupcake's Manila has been gracious enough to let us experience their famous cupcakes.

We had a hard time choosing where to start with so much delicious options before us. All of them looked inviting, sumptuous and sinful. Randomly we chose four different cupcakes to try first.

After trying the first four, what is consistent is the light and moist cakes. They were fluffy and not too sweet, perfect for the Asian palate. The simple yet elegant-looking cupcakes are as good as they look.

Mocha - Chocolate cream cheese on a moist coffee cupcake. For coffee lovers who like a dash of chocolate.

PB Chocolate - Fluffy peanut butter frosting on a moist chocolate cupcake. This is peanut butter like you’ve never tried it – really smooth!

Strawberry Chocolate - Strawberry infused buttercream on a moist chocolate cupcake. You can’t go wrong with strawberry and chocolate!

Espresso - Espresso infused buttercream on a moist coffee cupcake. Perfect for coffee lovers!

Rainbow Vanilla - Fluffy vanilla cream cheese on a light vanilla cupcake. A bite-sized rainbow!

Strawberry Vanilla - Strawberry puree infused buttercream on a light vanilla cupcake. A crowd favourite.

Vanilla Chocolate - Fluffy vanilla cream cheese on a moist chocolate cupcake. A simple combination that works!

Cookies and Cream - Vanilla buttercream with oreo crumbles on a moist chocolate cupcake. One of our bestsellers!!

I haven't had the chance to try their best seller which is the Red velvet and I'm excited to try it!

So why the name? 
Founder and CEO Daniel Ong explains why ‘Twelve Cupcakes’ : “There are 12 strikes in a perfect game in bowling; There are 12 months in a year, 12 numbers on a clock, plus a baking tray has 12 holes. I thought Jaime’s cupcakes were perfect and 12 seemed the perfect number!”.

Housed in their signature pink boxes, these gourmet cupcakes are the perfect thing to bring to any gathering, or simply give your day a sweet ending.

 

There are 12 Everyday flavors and 3 Special flavors which changes everyday. New flavors are introduced monthly and with over 50 flavors, there must be a cupcake for each and everyone of you.

As for me, I can see that Twelve Cupcakes will appeal to the young and old alike. Gotta love gourmet cupcake!
