What to watch out for?
1. It will be packed! All market types will surely be there! I hope it won't be too crazy or crowded. (on its opening)
2. Sarah Jessica Parker will be gracing the event and shall be opening The SM Store. (former Dept. Store)
3. They sat that AURA will feature 'a more upscale' SM Department Store, SM Supermarket, Kultura, Our Home and Toy Kingdom, as well as Forever 21, Uniqlo, Watsons and ACE Hardware. This I have to see for meself. I hope this one will totally different from their newly renovated SM Stores. In terms of mood, look and feel.
4. Sustainability. SM prides it self on this project's sustainability. I wanna see it designed in that way. I should be able to feel it the building’s pollution and waste management systems.
5. Bicycle paths and recreational area around the mall.
6. Global brands like Suiteblanco, Stefanel, Minelli, TM Lewin and Petit Bateau to open their first store in SM AURA. Paul Boulangerie and Todd English Food Hall will also open a space in the mall.
7. First ever NBA Café in Asia. At the Cafe, they will feature American bar and grill favorites and a selection of Asian-Filipino classics, giving it a local twist.
8. Sky Park. Just like in SM North Edsa, Aura will also have a great view from the top. A better view I hope where people won't be funneled into the middle but where people can road around the open space.
9. In the Sky Park, they will have the Pod. A unique dome design set against a garden backdrop designed for events, exhibits, and performances.
10. The Chapel of San Pedro Calungsod, will also be there featuring “unorthodox yet highly aesthetic and tubular design.”
11. IMAX theater. I expect this place to have the best IMAX seating, best IMAX reclining chairs and the best IMAX glasses!
12. SMX Aura. Yes, they will have a 3,800-square-meter SMX there. There will be trade hall for exhibits and corporate meetings with three function rooms and eight meeting rooms for events.
13. Best of the Best. I mean no one is perfect, but with the all these social media hype and the mystery of it all, it just raised the bar. This will be SM's high end project and by this one, we'll see how high-end SM can go. :)
