The traditional Japanese pants, revolutionized.
February 7, 2013, Manila, Philippines—After its success in Japan, UNIQLO, Japan’s leading global fashion brand, brings the revolutionized loungewear pants, STETECO (for men) and RELACO (for women) to the Philippines for Spring/Summer 2013.
STETECO originated in Japan in the 19th century and were historically worn by men under traditional Japanese kimonos or suits as a dividing under-layer. By wearing them as “pants under pants” and keeping trousers from coming into direct contact with the skin, they reduce friction-induced damage on the fabric, meaning the trousers last and keep cleaner longer.
Comfortable and convenient, they are no longer just seen as underwear but can now be worn as loungewear with quick drying and breathable qualities. They are even perfect for popping to the shops on a warm summer’s day for a relaxed look.
STETECO have been treasured by Japanese people over the years as highly rational and functional innerwear. A product of Japanese knowledge and ingenuity, they continue today to make the transition to a comfortable and convenient fashion item for summertime wear.
Available in an array of colors, prints and patterns, UNIQLO’s STETECO for men and RELACO for women will be priced at P590.
The UNIQLO STETECO for men and RELACO for women will be available soon at UNIQLO’s SM Mall of Asia and SM North Edsa The Block stores. The UNIQLO store at the SM Mall of Asia is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. while the UNIQLO store at the 2nd floor of the SM City North EDSA The Block is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends and 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekdays.
