The media event of the Yahoo! OMG! Awards 2012 was held at 7th High. The event was attended by celebrities and performers. They viewed the highlights of last year's event and promised a bigger, brighter and bigger Yahoo! OMG!.
Yahoo! shared that the search and poll based awards has already garnered 2.2 million votes since it launched two weeks ago on Yahoo! OMG!
The big event is to be held at the Mall of Asia Arena on July 6 honoring Philippine's most favorite celebs and emerging stars.Though this year, OMG! Awards added new categories to recognize the contributions of DJs and radio stations that promotes OPM.

This year, Yahoo! opened another avenue for avid fans to vote via mobile, reinforcing the country’s status as the SMS capital of the world. Powered by Sun Cellular, fans can now have more access to vote for their favorite stars via SMS to #2222. Voting for these web celebs is also available online on Yahoo! at http://ph.omg.yahoo.com/omgawards/.
The awards night will be hosted by Raymond Gutierrez and the “It girls” – the Call Me Maybe ladies: Solenn Heusaff, Isabelle Daza and Georgina Wilson, the night of the awards will be a dance, fashion and music extravaganza with performances by DJ Mars Miranda, Bailes de Luces, Urbandub, Wolfgang, Julie Anne San Jose, Elmo Magalona, Addlib Dancers, G Force, Solenn Heussaff and Lovi Poe, making it the most iconic event for the entertainment industry this year. Under the supervision of the noted stage director Rico Guttierez, the ceremony is set to be a grand celebration illuminating the entertainment industry’s brightest stars and their stellar fans.
