After a record-breaking song entries of 3,000 here in the Philippines and abroad, the Philippine Popular Music Festival revealed the Top 14 finalists who can be the next Filipino songwriter. The PhilPOP is headed by the music maestro Ryan Cayabyab who is grateful to the wonderful and overwhelming turnout. He is happy and excited because with this turnout, it only shows that OPM is alive and kicking.
P1 million in cash is up for grabs for the top winning entry and the two runners-up will each receive P 500,000 and P 250,000. On July 15, 2012, the top 14 finalist will showcase their compositions through a final performance and competition at the PICC Plenary Hall.
