Together with Nix, we were able to experience one of the last few shows of the world famous Fuerza Bruta which happened at the Manila Hotel Tent. Thanks to one very kind person, Ms. Grace Magno for the tickets.
Fuerza Bruta which means Brute Force is a hyper-charged production with spectacular illusions, acrobatics, performances and many others!
It is a non-stop collision of dynamic music, visceral emotion and kinetic aerial imagery. Defying both gravity and convention, it is a show to stun the senses. Audiences are urged not just to watch, but also shout, spin, touch and even help the cast smash things — an interactive live event that makes the usual night out dull in comparison.
“Fuerza Bruta” also had an after-party. The Lounge party was open to everybody. Designed by UK-trained artist and architect Juan Carlo Calma, the Lounge’s postmodern collision of shapes, colors, and sensations provides the perfect backdrop for the party.
We were called in and the show is about to start! :) Exciting!
“Fuerza Bruta,” which originated in Buenos Aires, Argentina, has performed in major cities all over the world including New York, London, Madrid, Lisbon, Sao Paolo, Miami, and Chicago, to high critical acclaim.
Others completed their night by booking a room at the Manila Hotel and avail of their “Fuerza Bruta” room packages. Ticket holders got a 20 percent discount on the hotel’s rooms and suites. Groups of up to five was also able to avail of the After Party room package and was able to get a 10 percent discount on “Fuerza Bruta” tickets.
“Fuerza Bruta” ticket holders were also entitled to a 20 percent discount in all of Manila Hotel restaurants on the day of the ticket show date, the day before, and the day after. While Manila Hotel Prestige members was able to purchase “Fuerza Bruta” tickets with a 10 percent discount.
The Manila show was made possible by promoter Hoopla Inc. and Manila Hotel, the official hotel and residence of “Fuerza Bruta.” The show ran from February 14 - March 26. Tickets were sold at P2,500 for weekdays and P 3,000 for weekends (Friday and Saturday at 8pm and 11pm)
FUERZA BRUTA was one of a kind experience, and Nix and I was happy to be a part it. I wish more of productions like these can come to the Philippines and hope to experience more of it.
