GLOBE RUN FOR HOME 2012

GLOBE is kicking off its RUN FOR HOME 2012 (R4H) in Cebu this coming March 25, 2012. And the location? would be  at Cebu International Convention Center. The Route will pass through the Cebu Coastal Road, Plaza Independencia, Sergio Osmeña Blvd. and Quirino Ave. 

For the information of everyone Globe Run for Home is the annual charity fun run organized by Globe Telecom which aims to raise funds for a group of beneficiaries whose causes are geared towards building sustainable shelter for the less fortunate.

Now on its fourth year, Globe Run for Home has not just been a way to bond with friends, or as a means to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but more importantly, it has provided an opportunity for the Filipino running community to make a difference in other people’s lives.

This year, Globe Run for Home invades Cebu, bringing the "running fever" to the Queen City of the South and inspiring more individuals to help build homes, build lives, and build dreams.

Check out the mechanics below.
1. The run is open to all runners, with divisions of 3, 5, 10, 15 and 21 kilometer distances.
2. Registration is from February 1 to March 16, 2012 and will be held at 1st level, Paseo Ciudad, Ayala Center, Cebu.

Registration procedure:
a. Participant should go to 1st level, Paseo Ciudad, Ayala Center, Cebu from February 1 to March 16 and fill up the registration form and pay in cash for individual or group *
* Group registrants (buy 4 and get 1 free) should run in the same category

b. Participants may also register online via www.globe.com.ph/run from February 1 to March 16, 2012
    - May be done for individual or group entries. Participant/s may go to the website, register and pay via credit card *
    - If they don’t have a credit card, they may fill out the form, save and print, go to 1st level, Paseo Ciudad, Ayala Center, Cebu. Good for individual and group.
* Runner’s kit will be delivered to the specified address of online registrants on or before March 23, 2012. Online registration is recommended for participants who are based outside Cebu. Delivery fee will be charged on top of the registration fee.

c. Participant fills up registration form & liability waiver and race agreement.
d. Runner’s kit can be claimed upon registration on February 1 to March 16, 2012 from 10AM to 8pm at the 1st level, Paseo Ciudad, Ayala Center, Cebu. Runner’s kit will be given once the participant has completed the registration process.
e. The following are the race categories and registration fees:

21K Php 700

15K Php 600

10K Php 500

5K Php 400

3K Php 300

f. Runner’s kit will include the following items:
   - Singlet (sizes will be subject to availability
   - Timing Chip
   - Race Bib Number
   - Finishers medal for 21km
2. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to another runner.
3. Participants with incomplete registration &/or unsigned liability waiver will not be given the runner’s kit.
4. Distance Assembly Time and Gun Start are as follows:

5. Participants who are late at the gun start forfeit his/her chance of winning but can still participate in the race.
