DAVID ARCHULETTA signs with TV5

And there goes the neighborhood of Philippine television. BOOM!!! David Archuletta signs with TV5! Yes, you read that right and it is legit!!

Signs for what? Well, apparently, he is doing a prime time series for TV5. Who is he starring with? With homegrown Kapatid stars Jasmin Curtis Smith and Eula Caballero to name some.

I was able to source from Twitter that G Tongi will be playing Archuleta's young mom.

Turning 21 just last December 28 has been good so far for David, he remains to be one of the most exciting singer-songwriter since his stint at the 2008 American Idol.

Now let's talk about TV5. After signing up "Megastar" Sharon Cuneta and the famous Nora Aunor, TV5 also have signed deals with Vic Sotto, Aga Muhlach, Joey de Leon, Ruffa Gutierrez, Maricel Soriano, Lorna Tolentino, Edu Manzano and the legendary actor-comedian Dolphy.

Nobody expected Archuleta signing in for TV5. I am not sure how this would definitely play out or what's in heads of the TV5 executives but this move certainly lives up to the title TV5 got as the "Game Changer".

The American Idol star is set to arrive in Manila on January 13. Now in his prime, I am sure that he would definitely give Philippine entertainment a new taste and twist and a good kick on prime time.
